At the Centre

Birmingham Counselling Centre is home to PFA (People First Associates), a group of 40 therapists working at the centre and many more across the UK. The cost of an hour's therapy ranges from £10 to £55. Our Counselling and Psychotherapy trainees, who have all had several years training will work at the lower end.

We are available seven days a week day-time and evenings and currently over 500 hours of counselling takes place each month with people from across the West Midlands. The Centre is based in two buildings at 127 and 131 Pottery Road, with a waiting room in 127 where you will also find our offices.

People come for counselling about a wide range of issues. These can include relationships, bereavements, abusive experiences, traumatic events such as road accidents, addictions, depression, family problems, past or present, work problems and more. You may be struggling with anxiety, sleeplessness, tearfulness, inappropriate anger or low energy.

If you are looking to arrange counselling for yourself, or are interested on behalf of somebody else please call the Centre on 0121 429 1758, or email us. With such a range of therapists we aim to match you with a suitable practitioner who will meet your particular needs. Our Commitment to our Clients:

  • You won’t be put on a waiting list – we don’t have one !
  • We aim to offer you an appointment within seven days.
