We work with people from all walks of life who come to feel more positive about themselves and their relationships. You may be experiencing recent distress or deep, longstanding trauma but whatever the reason we can work with you over a short term or longer period, depending on what works best for you. We have a flexible range of fees to accommodate those who are in difficult financial circumstances.

wait ?: After your initial phone call we aim to have a therapist contact
you within 24 hours so that you will have an appointment within seven days, if that is what you want. * You won’t be put on a waiting list – we don’t have one ! We are open: 7 days a week,
daytimes and evenings up to 9pm Where: based at Birmingham Counselling & Psychotherapy Centre, 127 & Issues: You may be struggling with anxiety, sleeplessness, inappropriate anger, low energy, panic attacks or tearfulness. Examples of issues might be family or relationship difficulties - past or present; anxiety; depression; bereavement; disturbance from a traumatic event such as an accident; trauma; addictions & obsessions; work problems and more.
Ethics: All therapists, without exception, are members of BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) or UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists) and are committed & accountable to their code of ethics. All therapist are in monthly professional supervision and are committed (and required) to
professionally updating their skills and energy every year. Fees: Individuals: Average fee £30-£40. Actual range depending on experience: £15 to £50. (the choice is yours but our goal is try to match you with the best person to meet your particular needs.)
Couples: £50-£60. Organisations: £60-£90. Confidentiality: Your counselling or psychotherapy is your confidential space. The only time this is affected is when you tell us you are putting yourself or someone else in danger, or that a young person is in danger. Qualifications &
Orientation: All our therapists have trained in depth in one major therapeutic model accepted by BACP or UKCP - and will add to that every year. These include various integrative models such as TA or gestalt and often be updated with contemporary behavioural models such as CBT, EMDR or EFT. Here are some brief details of some of the 35 therapists who work at our centre. ![]() Andrea Andrews Anna Baulch-Jones is an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor, offering long term and time limited therapy. Experience: Anna has worked at the Centre for seven years, currently also working as a counsellor for Home Start and as a supervisor for Cruse & Primrose Hospice. She has experience of working as a counsellor in the NHS. Qualifications: Certificate in Counselling Skills 2002, Certificate in Counselling Studies 2003, Cruse Understanding Bereavement 2005, Diploma in Counselling 2005, BACP Accreditation 2008. Four year, Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy taught component completed. Written part for Diploma and UKCP registration currently being finished off. Diploma in Supervision, taught component completed, written component to be completed in 2011. Additional workshops undertaken in Diversity, Creativity, and the use of sandtrays, bodywork, use of CBT and Brief Therapy.
