The individual session will be confidential – this is crucial to ensure that staff use the service when they are not addressing their difficulties elsewhere. Any issues that appear to be affecting groups of staff, such as harassment, could be fed back to the company without breaching individuals’ confidentiality.

Brief therapy has proved to

be very effective. The counselling sessions work towards precise goals, which are established during the early stages of counselling. This helps staff to feel more empowered, enabling them to quickly move towards working more effectively. Clients would be referred for longer-term help where appropriate through the company or to external agencies if necessary.

Where does the counselling take place?
The sessions can be held off site at our Centre or elsewhere in order to maintain privacy. If necessary the sessions could be arranged within the company’s premises, but only if a suitable, private location can be made available.
