Experience: The first part of my working life was spent in industry in Birmingham as an IT specialist and project manager. After qualification, 11 years’ experience working with both individuals and groups in a variety of mental health settings including private healthcare, NHS, and private practice. All my practice is professionally supervised in accordance with BACP standards. Numerous training seminars on a variety of topics issues such as: “Dreaming as Emotional Thinking” “Jung and the Divided Psyche” “Working with Dreams” “Freud’s Case Studies” and “Transference & Counter-Transference”.
Qualifications: Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (2007) Counselling Skills Certificate (2004) Federation of Drug & Alcohol Professionals National Counsellor Accreditation Certificate (2013 – 2016)
Professional Memberships: Registered Individual Member of British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP)
Availability: Mondays & Wednesdays daytime. Saturdays & Sundays and Evenings may be made available.
Fees: £45 per 60-minute session (Concessions available)
Other Info: I’ve been in practice as a counsellor / therapist for 11 years. I offer a one to one counselling on an open ended or short-term basis. My approach stresses the importance of past experiences and things out of conscious awareness in shaping behaviour and sometimes giving rise to difficulties in life.
